Hardened high carbon, chromium containing low alloy steel has perfectly balanced properties for producing wood carving and cutting tools. It's a high strength, wear resistant steel, which keeps sharpening for a long time of use. HANDLE MATERIAL of the straight carving gouge - polished and stained with linseed oil oak wood.
