The Stryi long bent gouge 0.8" wide blade #7 profile is used for deep relief carving, works good for spoons and bowls. Professionally designed, curved under right angle long blade is perfect for cutting deep recesses, making long and clean cuts. The main peculiarity of the spoon gouge is professionally hardened, sharpened and polished blade, so it goes through cuts easy. Good for soft and hard wood. BLADE MATERIAL of the bowl carving bent chisel - chromium contained carbon steel W 108. The steel is hardened to 60-62 Hrc, the blade is razor sharpened, so be careful during woodcarving. Hardened high carbon, chromium containing low alloy steel has perfectly balanced properties for producing wood carving and cutting tools. It's high strength, wear resistant steel, which keeps sharpening for a long time of use. HANDLE MATERIAL of the long carving gouge - polished and stained with linseed oil oak wood.
