There are several common scams where a scammer will ask to change the shipping address after placing an order. Because of this I have to use the address that is verified by eBay when the order was placed. If you need to change your address after ordering then cancel your order ASAP. If you cancel before the item is shipped I can give you a full refund. Then you can change your shipping address on eBay and reorder the item. I always check my messages before shipping so communicate with me ASAP if you need to make this change. There is another version of the scam where the scammer will ask to have the delivery address changed after the item is sent. Because of this I cannot change the delivery address after the package has been sent. Domestic Shipping: I ship anywhere that is available at domestic shipping rates. This includes the 48 continental states and D.C. Shipping to you should be no problem if your eBay address is set to one of these locations. Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories, APO/FPO/DPO Shipping: I do not currently ship to addresses in these locations, because of very long shipping times. I have found that the shipping I use can take 1 month or more to be delivered to any of these locations. Unfortunately, the shipping estimates from eBay and from the USPS do not correctly estimate these extended shipping times. If you would still like to purchase the item then send me a message on eBay, and I will turn on shipping to your location. The price will not change. It will still be free shipping. International Shipping: I do not offer international shipping. I cannot afford to offer free shipping at international rates, and if I did not offer free shipping the international shipping fee would add significantly to the price of the item. RETURNS All my items are covered by a 30-day return policy if you experience any problems. I check every item before shipping, and if I find anything out of the ordinary, it will be included in the item condition description and photos above. If you find the item does not match this information when you receive it, then I encourage you to return the item. If you can, please try to use the packaging the item arrived in as the return label generated by eBay automatically copies the size and weight on the original label. The return window is 30 days from the date that the item is delivered. Contact me if you need any assistance with a return. Partial Refunds: In general, it is my policy to not issue partial refunds. Unfortunately, I have found this is necessary to avoid scammers who claim nonexistent damage to get a discount. Instead, please return the item, and I will provide a full refund when I receive it. CONTACT If you have any questions or concerns, please send me a message here on eBay. If I am away from the computer, I may not be able to answer your question immediately, but I will respond within a few hours. eBay Policy: I will not contact you outside of eBay. Doing so violates eBay's member-to-member contact policy, and it is a common tactic used by scammers. ABOUT THIS BUSINESS / SPHERICALCOW ELECTRONIC REPAIR This is a small, home business that I personally own and run. It's just me, so I handle all parts of the business myself. I repair electronics down to the board level. Most of my inventory comes from mixed lots of anything from brand new, unopened items to damaged devices. I sell on everything that is in good condition, repair anything that can be fixed, and the rest is sold as parts. Unfortunately, the electronics repair industry has been dying for several decades. Schematics are rarely available and almost never released by the manufacturer. Parts are labeled with nonstandard codes, which make them impossible to identify, or are not labeled at all. Most parts are also restricted from sale to anyone other than the manufacturer. In addition, main components are often serialized to specific boards. If one of these gets damaged, replacing it won't work. The replacement part doesn't have the same serial number as the board, so the device will lock itself into an inoperable state. As time goes on, manufacturers have been increasing how many components are serialized. Meaning, if any of these components fails, the device is rendered unrepairable. Manufacturers have further scared their customers from repairing their devices with illegal and false "tempering will void warranty" labels. These problems have discouraged many from entering the repair industry and have encouraged the rise of disposable devices. This has had the compound effect of stunting the growth of new repair knowledge to match new technologies. Currently, it is difficult to find and learn up-to-date repair techniques. The information is either decades old or available only by slowly observing the techniques of others in the industry. There seems to be no collected sources of information to quickly bring new repairers up to speed on best practices. With all that said, it shouldn't be surprising that I support the Right to Repair. I always enjoy discussing any of this with anyone that is interested in it.
